The
VDS1004VR was manufactured for easy accessibility for cutting off electrical current in
the field without having to endanger or harm the personnel or equipment. The
magnetic disconnect switch range of usage is anywhere from PLC logic control
circuits to remote termination of any signal or source. This product is ideal
for limited space capabilities where a wall mounted magnetic disconnect which
would be unplausible. The outer case along with the safety measures provides
protection in hazardous and hostile environments. The mounted connections make
for easy to install and visual indication of wiring.
The Magnetic Disconnect switch when closed uses the Capabilities of a magnetic Reed switch to allow current to pass through when the contact is closed via magnetic field. It stays protected from electrical back feed with 24/7 protection through the integrated circuit. Using the properties of Reed Switches in an enclosed system it will not spark providing protection across all 16 channels. The outer casing is made with a hardened rigid and integrally strong Plastic (ABS) which has a melting temperature of 165° C. The Carbon fiber hinges provide long lasting support for continuous movement. The chassis is designed for DIN Rail Mounting.
